About Us - À propos de nous
Formed in 1966, CAIW is a national association of insurance professionals. CAIW focuses on education, networking, and personal development of individuals affiliated with the insurance industry, both directly and indirectly. CAIW provides insurance professionals with a forum to showcase their dedication to the consumer and the industry through programmes such as the Insurance Information Campaign.
In 1981, CAIW expanded its mandate, through the Insurance Information Campaign, to include educating the public about general insurance. Each year, CAIW member associations across Canada promote the positive aspects of the Insurance Industry.
Créée en 1966, l’ACFA est une association nationale de professionnels d’assurance. L’ACFA se concentre, directement et indirectement, sur l’éducation, le réseautage et le développement personnel des individus affiliés à l’industrie de l’assurance.
En 1981, l’ACFA a étendu son mandat, de par la Campagne d’information sur l’Assurance, pour inclure un aspect éducatif de l’industrie de l’assurance destiné au public. À chaque année, des associations membres de l’ACFA à travers le Canada font la promotion des aspects positifs de l’industrie de l’assurance.

Original membership consisted of representative associations from Halifax, Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Saint John, Toronto, Windsor, and Winnipeg.
