Fellow members:

As I contemplate what I want to write in my President’s message I came upon this inspiring quote:
“We must open doors and we must see to it they remain open, so that others can pass through.”
“Sisterhood is Powerful” Rosemary Brown (politician, activist).

The CAIW Board has had another conference call which was held on November 27th and I am happy to report that each committee chair has provided updates and has been in contact with all the Directors and Presidents of each Association to make sure that they receive the information whether it is about an award, membership, etc. Making sure that deadlines are being met as well! So thank you to the CAIW Board for keeping things running smoothly!

I hope that all associations have had a successful couple of months with their membership drives and that all members recognize the benefits of being a part of this association and promote it both locally and nationally. Our members have an opportunity to represent their local associations through various awards like the Public Speaking contest, Insurance Women of the Year and our newly installed “Rising Star award.

I had the pleasure of attending EIA’s “Battle of Bands” event on November 8th and what an event it was! Great job to EIA for putting on such a successful evening and tickets were sold out. Well done!

I am looking to do more travelling to your events in the new year, if you have an event that you are hosting please, please let me know and I will do my best to attend.

As we reflect on this past year and the challenges that our industries are being faced with we continue to support and help one another throughout this Association which I am very proud to be a part of.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas/Joyeux Noel.

Respectrully Submitted,

Lori Penner, CIP
CAIW President 2018-2019
