November 2017

Fellow members:

As we head down the back stretch of 2017, we reflect back on the beautiful Fall and look forward to the first icy grips of Winter. Most membership drives are winding down and I hope you were successful in inspiring coworkers and business associates to join your associations.

Thank you to the Insurance Association of Newfoundland and Labrador for their hospitality during my visit on November 7, 2017. It was great to be able to participate in their meeting and revive friendships made over the years.

Most of my travel to Local Associations will take place during March and April of 2018 as that appears to be when most are hosting events. So, please stay tuned for updates.

This is a season of preparation – for holiday festivities and resolution planning. For your Executive Board, the approaching midterm meeting on January 12-14, 2018, in Montreal is keeping us quite busy. Most Association Presidents have been contacted by telephone as a new CAIW initiative to keep in closer contact with the Local Associations. The feedback I have received to date has all been positive, which indicates we are headed in the right direction – together as a team!

With the holiday season approaching quickly, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a wonderful Christmas and a New Year full of peace and love.

Yours in fellowship,

Deb MacDougall, CIP
CAIW President
