Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1998, Ms Kalantzis graduated from the University of Ottawa where she completed her graduate studies with a Masters in Law in 1999. Her thesis on Alternative Dispute Resolution consisted of an in depth look at the impact of implementing Mediation into the Quebec Code of Civil Procedure. She previously obtained a License in Civil Law (1996) and a Bachelor Degree in Common Law (1998) from the same academic institution.

She became a partner of the boutique litigation firm Gilbert Simard Tremblay in 2008.

Her main areas of practice revolve around Litigation and Insurance Law, more specifically, Civil and Professional Liability. As such, Ms. Kalantzis has represented corporations of various natures, ranging from construction to retail. She has also developed a particular expertise as counsel for professionals of the Real Estate Industry.

In addition to her experience before the different levels of the Quebec Courts, Ms Kalantzis is the author of a number of published articles notably in the Ottawa Law Review and the Canadian Bar Association Underwriting Journal. She regularly acts as a contributing author of the Montreal Association of Insurance Women Bulletin. She has also prepared and acted as a speaker for various conferences in insurance matters including the Canadian Institute and the Young Bar Association of Montreal. More recently, she has published doctrine with Reuters Thompson.

Ms. Kalantzis is perfectly trilingual (French, English and Greek) and is a member of multiple associations such as the Canadian Bar Association, the Montreal Association of Insurance Women and the Canadian Association of Insurance Women. She has been an active member of the Montreal Association of Insurance Women since 2001 and has also held all of the different Executive Committee positions of said organization since 2004, including President for two years. She currently continues her involvement with this non-profit association as Director. As such, she ensures that the voice of the Montreal Association be heard on the National level. She has chaired the Essay Committee of the Canadian Association of Insurance Women, a cross nation essay contest.
